Put Some Pep In Your Step with The Musical Theatre Dance Class!
In this lively course, the musical theatre performer will learn basic dance steps to develop essential theatrical movement skills and further their understanding of musical choreography. Each weekly class is designed to teach different forms of dance including jazz, tap and ballet:
BALLET: The foundation for all dance subjects. Students learn proper body placement and alignment. Traditional methods are taught for strengthening technique and style. ￼
TAP: Students will develop small muscle motor skills, rhythm, and musicality. Learn traditional as well as up-to-date patterns and rhythms. ￼
JAZZ: All styles are introduced. Beginning with the traditional Broadway theatre technique, students learn movement in many jazz styles to all types of music
Students will learn how to maintain character during dance and perform musical theatre style dances taken straight from the Broadway Stages!
