We recently announced our 2018 Fall Season at Winter Spring Performing Arts. This season we will be working on productions that can have varying intention and heavily rely on linguistics.  Below is a preview of the shows to come.

Into The Woods- The Musical

Actors 13+ years old may audition for this production.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

*AUDITION PROCESS INFORMATION:  This casting will be non- gender specific. In order to audition for this production you MUST sing 32 bars of a song from Into the Woods using a character of the opposite gender.

Performance Dates:  November 1st at 7pm, November 2nd at 7pm, November 3rd at 2pm and 10pm for Midnight Madness!  (Note: dates have been changed)

Once Upon a Mattress  Jr.

Actors 10+ may audition for this musical production.
If you thought you knew the story of 'The Princess and The Pea,' you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that it may not have been the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of beguiling songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are, you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.
Performance Dates:  November 16th at 7pm, November 17th at 7pm and November 18th at 2pm (Note that dates have changed.)

Magic Tree House:  The Knight at Dawn Kids

Actors 7+ may audition for this musical production.
The two siblings, Jack and Annie, return to visit the magic tree house.  As they read a book about knights and the middle ages, Annie is intrigued by the Black Knight and the mysterious quest one must successfully complete before becoming a knight.  When she wishes to visit the castle in the book, the siblings are whisked away to medieval times.  They set off to learn more about the Black Knight and his quest, experiencing a grand medieval feast, escaping through secret tunnels and dancing with enchanted suits of armor, all in an effort to find their way back home.
Performance Dates: October 26th & 27th at 7pm and October 28th at 2pm

A small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.
Class takes place on Tuesdays throughout the Fall.  Performance Dates: October 19th and 20th at 7pm.
This production will be a fundraiser for the new facility.
Godspell Announcement for Adults!
In this experimental theatre season, we have decided to dabble in the "community" part of what we do.
Adults, too, can audition for Godspell.  For more information, visit the Fall Show Audition page.
