The Fundamentals of Musical Theater is a Broadway Bound Workshop for actors who have studied the art form for 5+ years and intend to pursue a career in the performing arts. This is an advanced program which focuses on core training in the main aspects of musical theater: dance, acting and singing. This course will provide the actor with a process, which will support him or her in the crafting of a career in the performing arts. Broadway Bound Workshops include:

* Choosing and Altering Audition Material
* Audition Etiquette
* Monologue and Song Study
* Maintaining a Dance Audition
* Character Development
* Acting a Song and Performance

Musical Theater Dance Workshop

* Basic Dance Training
* Understanding Choreography
* Maintaining Character During Dance

Musical Theater Vocal Workshops

* Vocal Production
* Vocal Stylings and Musicality
* Composer and Song Study

Musical Theater Acting Workshop

* The Psychology of a Character
* Making Strong Connections to Materials
* Discovering Elements within Text
* Understanding the Playwright

In this class, actors will explore a combination of techniques to procure a process that will work for them as a working performer. Students will learn to combine language, physicality and music to create profound and multi-dimensional characters that live in the world of Musical Theater.
