Friday 01 May 2009 - 01:27:55PM | Read/Post Comment: 0

Gianormous is not a word you hear every day but that is exactly how big our "yard" sale was!  We had more stuff than K-Mart!  We had kids in costumes enticing people in the "store" we had concessions and tons of stuff!!!!!!  Thanks to all of you who donated to the sale, helped pick up donated items, and worked at the sale. We made $860 and had we sold everything we would have made at least $5000.  Next time (if there is a next time) we will keep it open for a few weeks.  Thanks again!

Wow!! This was a chocolate lovers dream!  We had chocolate rivers, chocolate bars and The Stage even smelled like chocolate!  This classic show really hit the spot!  The kids were wonderful and the show was awesome!  Each show keeps getting better and better!  I can't imagine how terrific they will be in 5 years.  I bet one of them is going to be after my job!

Songs For A New World
Monday 22 December 2008 - 05:28:55PM | Read/Post Comment: 0

A big congratulations to the Songs For A New World Cast!  The cast received rave reviews of this original script with music by Jason Robert Brown.

Attempting to write a script can have its ups and downs.  1.  Does the audience get it.  2. Does it communicate emotions?  and 3. Are they just telling us they liked it and walking out and saying to themselves, "What was that?"

According to the audiences it was an emotional rollercoaster that made complete sense!  YAY!!!

Great job Cast!!  I'm so proud of you of you for working hard and taking on an incredible artistic endeavour.

Special Thanks to Marc Batchelor who worked long hours on our music!  Thanks, Marc!!!

Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr.

Awesome 1st production!  It was such fun getting our first production ready in our new theater.   It was a lot of work and it would not have happened without our dedicated parents, we even had parents help who didn't have kids in this particular show!  Wow, that is dedication and a love for the arts!  Thanks!

"The Stage" as it is now called, held 6 incredible productions of Alice Jr. The kids were awesome and quickly adapted to the changes that were being made to the stage.  I'm so proud of each and everyone of them!!  Great Job!  I can't wait till Willy Wonka!!

nbcstudios_smallest.jpg

We just got back from our first Winter Springs Performing Arts New York City Trip! We saw "The Little Mermaid", and "Legally Blonde" as a group. We had one night where the group divided up and chose any show they wanted to see. The shows seen that night were "Young Frankenstein", "In The Heights", "The Phantom Of The Opera", "Spring Awakening" and "Gypsy." So many shows to choose from! Each show was amazing! We stayed after the shows and got autographs and pictures with the actors and actresses. We also toured Radio City Music Hall, NBC studios, and did a backstage tour of "Wicked." And of course we shopped, ate, walked, ate again, shopped a little more and walked till we couldn't walk anymore. For those of you who missed this awesome trip we are going again in the summer of 2010! Start saving your pennies

High School Musical has rock star crowds!
Monday 14 July 2008 - 11:09:42PM | Read/Post Comment: 0

What an incredible run!! The youth cast and the advanced cast were both amazing and were blessed to experience the incredible energy of rock star crowds. There was screaming, clapping, singing, more screaming and did I mention even more screaming for the kids. It is not often in a performers life that you get to feel the way these kids did on stage. Even the parents who were working backstage felt the energy and found themselves in tears. It was amazing! If you missed this show you missed something special! Way to go cast!

Wizard of Oz a rousing SUCCESS!
Monday 28 April 2008 - 12:58:28PM | Read/Post Comment: 0

YAY, Wizard of Oz Cast!! You did an incredible job! I’m so proud of you! Sunday matinee was our highest guest count 303! Incredible! Thanks to all the parents, techs, and everyone that helped put this show together! We even had a couple of volunteers that didn't have children in our program and just wanted to help out. That is wonderful. As you know we had 2 casts, ruby cast and emerald cast, each cast did an outstanding job bringing something special to the stage. And we can't forget "Toto" our first live animal on stage. High School Musical here we come!

Wow!! It is absolutely amazing that within 11 hours after we sent the email out announcing that the enrollment for High School Musical summer camp was open, that we had 30 enrollments. That is 2 more than we had for our first summer camp, Disney's The Jungle Book. Within 2 days we have had nearly 60 enrollments!! Camp is filling up fast! Good thing we decided to have 2 camps, the AM camp and the PM camp!! Awesome!!!
